Secondly, hopefully you have realized that this show involves lot of teamwork. Just because you are louder doesn't mean you are working together. Listening is a key part of working in a big group. "Listen Moore, talk less".
Thirdly, auditions went great, it looks like we have a great group of individuals!
Fourthtest, remember we are not cutting anyone so make sure you create/have room for all of them. Word of advice a lot of good actors emerge out of the spring play. So, take that chance!
Remember the schedule this week.
Remember. Every time you comment you get 5 points. Every time you don't comment on a post, you get a zero.
ReplyDeleteFor those of you having trouble getting on here, I am trying to take care of that with Mr. Eaton.
Hello. My name is Mac and I agree with Mr. Moore with the Shushing. Outlawing that would be a positive step to cooperation.
ReplyDeleteAuditions were awesome. Our group has not finalized on anyone yet, which I hope other groups haven't either, and we'll fight (we have Lucas).
Love, Mac
P.S. Was that good? What we were supposed to do?
Hey guys! I thought auditions went great today and we saw a lot of people that could play parts in all of our plays. I have to agree with Mr. Moore on the being loud part, because yea listening is a key part to staying together as group and hearing everyones ideas. Hopefully callbacks tomorrow will give everyone a clearer picture of what actors each group want.

I have to agree with almost everything everyone has said so far. I think the auditions went really well, and I think - at least hope - that people felt comfortable with us, and not too scared or intimidated. I also have to agree about having more order, and less getting off the main subject (by that I mean less talking on top of one another) like what happened when deciding who would be call backed. Nonetheless, that process still went by really smoothly and I feel comfortable about going into this process. We were out before 6ish, so that was nice. It showed that there was organization and that we do have somewhat of an idea of what is happening. I am excited about call backs tomorrow, and to actually see the characters on paper take form and become real!!!

I agree with Mac and Mr. Moore. Shushing should be illegal. Also, auditions were great. I look forward to the call-backs to get moving on the character selection and start thinking about what our show will really be looking like in the near future.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for these plays!

Guys - this is what I'm looking for in terms of comments...Keep it coming. I look forward to hearing about today.
ReplyDeleteToday was sooooo long but we got a lot accomplished. Kenny's play is pretty much cast and so is Erik's. Hopefully our group will know exactly what we want by the end of tomorrow. I though callbacks went great today and it was very enjoyable. Also I thought that today could of gone a lot quicker if we were more efficient with the time and didn't call as many people back.

I thought yesterday (Monday) went really well. We saw a lot of great people. I enjoyed having the opportunity to see a lot of unexpected people turn out to be so talented. I was so excited after the first round of auditions! I think we've all done a good job compromising throughout the casting process.
ReplyDeleteAuditions was great there were some disappointments but there were also some nice surprises. It's a weird feeling watching your peers audition for you. It's so interesting seeing another side of them as they delve into their monologues trying to become their character. The casting compromising has been ok thus far. Callbacks were a tad sketch but we have a lot of roles to fill so I anticipated it.
ReplyDeleteI think that the call backs were long, but the casting went surprisingly smooth. Almost fully cast our play, Yay!
ReplyDeleteSome people came out and really shocked and awed us (at least speaking for my group), and others disappointed, over all we got everything we needed thought. I look forward to the rehearsals starting to work with our wonderful cast.

i think once we work out the kinks in casting everything will go smoothly. the good thing about casting is that all of us have clear visions of what we want for our shows which has been helpful but i think it could be a problem in the future. we are all really good at communication and its defonitly a learning experience. we have so many great people that tried out, i just wish we had more parts.
ReplyDeleteMr. Moore, I enjoy your puns.
ReplyDeleteI believe that although casting might be a bit hectic, each of our plays final product will be worth all of this stress. I was unable to attend the casting but I do believe that we will cast many talented actors!
